December 9th: Black on black on black

img_1829Happy December 9th guys!

I had some Friday Favorites to share with you yesterday, but my day turned out crazy busy, and I ended up not even checking in. I’ll share those with you another day. Maybe tomorrow. We’ll see. But I have some good Christmas-y favorites in there guarantying a festive mood.

For now let’s talk about what I call “My fancy outfit.” I never wear all black, but when I did a little ASOS haul on Black Friday, I was suddenly so drawn to this. I think key to an all-black outfit it mixing fabrics. So in this outfit I’m wearing a knitted sweater paired with silky suit pants, and shiny dress shoes with cool studded detail on the tip. I’m loving it! It will probably be my new go-to outfit for casual chic events.

December 7th: In Gossip Girl

sleepnomore1Today I’m coming at you with a New York experience to add to your NYC to-do list. Any Gossip Girl fans out there? Yes? You know that episode where Serena, Blair, Nate etc walk around with a white mask on in something that looks like a scene from a freaky play?

Last night I wondered off to the McKittrick Hotel with Mie for a night of immersive and mystical theater. Mie had convinced me to go, not knowing at all what I had said yes to. We were handed a playing card which would decide the destiny of our entrance to the play. Then a mask. Inside it was dark, dramatic music was playing, and actors were taking us around the rooms of the hotel as the story developed. When we came out we were met with live 1920’s jazz music and great drinks.

It was such a cool night that completely made me forget about everything else!

December 6th: OOTD

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and this sweater definitely helps everyone getting into the festive mood. I got so many comments at work. They all know by know, that I love Christmas time, but what they’ve also learned is that I tend to dress very festive during the Holiday season. I just love how happy it makes me feel. Here I’m wearing it for a more relaxed going-to-the-movies Sunday look (maybe except the red lip), but for a night time look I would wear it with black suit pants or a black leather skirt and some knee high boots with a high heel. Ready for the holiday parties!

December 4th: I’m dreaming of a…

Cottage in the middle of the English Countryside. Snow falling outside. Plenty of fairy lights huggings the house.

english-cottageInside the fireplace is burning, and on the stove hot chocolate is being prepared. Here are plenty of books to read in front of the fireplace, blankets to wrap up in, Christmas decorations everywhere. It smells divine of pine tree and whatever is baked in the kitchen. Gingerbread, mince pies, orange chocolate cookies.

This year I’ll make my apartment this place, but maybe next Christmas?
