MY NEW YEAR’S EVE
My New Year?s outfit anno 2016. At least what I had in mind. We had planned a weekend getaway with friends to celebrate the beginning of 2017, and I had ran around the city to get my outfit together. But in the end we didn?t go because 1) Money: The room was original price x2 (!!!) because of the occasion. (Like they had joined forces with Uber and their idea of upping the price whenever people really need them.) Like seriously? 2) I kinda wanted to just stay at home. Simple as that.
So instead of going all out on glitter and finding the wildest party there ever was, we stayed in for a cozy evening SATC-style. You know, like Carrie and Miranda in Sex & the City the movie. Just Miranda switched out with Edward (I of course always thought of myself as Carrie). PJs, Thai take-out, champagne, and the ball-drop live from Times Square on TV. We probably had the best view anyway. And boy, was it just what I needed. We talked about our New Year’s resolutions, ate take-out, put money in our pocket (Edward says that it will bring us fortune in the coming year), kissed at midnight, popped some confetti, and drank champagne.
Totally down to earth.
Happy New Year to you all, and thank you for continuously tuning back on my blog and for all your support.
PS. Don?t analyze the take-out further. My 2017 will not be full of greasy fat and bad choices. (At least I’m telling myself that)
